Ordering FAQ

How do I place an order?

We accept orders via phone, email, and fax. Please provide a Purchase Order including:

item numbers of each tea
preferred shipping method
any requests for additional documentation, including laboratory testing

Is there a minimum order amount?

$300 minimum for teas shipped from our warehouse
$200 minimum for teas shipped from our office

These quantities are large—can I order smaller amounts?

Because we are a traditional importer, we do not offer in-house packing and cannot break down cases of tea into smaller quantities. The tea we send has not been touched since it shipped from origin.

We do offer limited availability and smaller quantities of some seasonal and/or special reserve teas. Available quantities are indicated in our Master Product List.

Do you sell chamomile/rosehips/other herbs?

We stock a very limited selection of herbal blends, choosing instead to focus on true tea from the Camellia sinensis.

Is shipping included?

No. We are happy to arrange shipping and include the cost on your invoice. Alternately, we can accommodate shipping through your business account. Please specify your preference when placing an order.

How quickly will my order ship/ how long will it take to get here?

Orders require 24 hours for processing. Orders placed before 10:30am PST will ship the following business day.

For standard orders of in-stock teas, cross-country transit is 5 business days. Transit west of the Rocky Mountains is 2 business days. Special import orders average 8–10 weeks.

Why is my tea not available all year?

Specialty tea is an agricultural product, subject to seasonal variation and availability. Most fine teas are made once a year, and when supply of that tea runs out for the season, more will not be available until the following year. We do our best to purchase full yearly quantities of each tea, but many teas are available in limited quantities.

Are you or your facility certified?

Our warehouse is certified for the handling of organic products.

The G.S. Haly Company is a bulk importer—not a food handler or manufacturer. We sell tea in its original packaging, and we do not process or commingle tea while it is in our possession.

Because we are the first and last point of contact between you and the tea producers, we will work to secure needed documentation and information regarding your tea directly from the people who made it.
